PLAN COMMISSION MEETING

DECEMBER 22, 2011

 

Meeting called to order by Chairperson John Muentner at 7:05 p.m.

Members present; Rudy Dubnicka, John Muentner, George Trewin, Steve Wessing, Francis Ferguson.

Citizens present; Gerrard Schmitz, Tim Hackbarth, Bob Simon.

Posting of Notices for the Hearing noted- Reading of Application of Bruce & Carol Dilling for Rezoning of .75 acres of property located at N4460 State Road 175 located in the Northeast ¼ of Northwest ¼  Section 10, Township 14 North, Range 17 East, in the Town of Byron, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. Rezone from Business to Industrial.

Reason for rezone is the sale of property to Rundle-Stence Mfg. Corp.’s, contingent upon rezone, to permit wholesale activity to be conducted on property.

David Stence represented Rundle-Stence mfg. Corp. in support of rezone. Stated that Rundle-Spence has been in business since 1871 as a wholesale supplier of plumbing supplies, and felt the location would allow them to offer quality service to the area.

Bruce Dilling spoke in support of rezone.

9 adjacent neighbors to the property received notice of meeting. None appeared in opposition to the rezone.

Questions asked by Plan Commission;

Concerning set back from highway right of way. Letter from Town AttorneyExplained that this would continue to be a non-conforming use even though a zoning change would be made, future expansion if not over 50% of value of building would not be violation.

Storage of material would most likely be within buildings that already exist.

No other discussion.

Motion to recommend Zoning change from Business to Industrial by; Steve Wessing 2nd by George Trewin.  5 members voted Aye, 0 voted No, Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn by; George Trewin 2nd by John Muentner Motion carried.
