Business Calendar
Crossroads of Commerce
Businesses of the Town of Byron are featured in the annual Byron Historical Society’s commemorative calendar for 2010. The calendars, highlighting the many businesses that have shaped and continue to shape the town’s history, are currently available.
Crossroads of Commerce: Businesses in the Town of Byron includes photographs, advertisements, and signage capturing the wide variety of over 200 businesses that have flourished, faded, endured, and emerged throughout the town’s history since 1846. Photographs and advertising include both historic and contemporary businesses and run the gamut from early general stores, quarries, garages, gas stations, and cheese factories to the era of the dance band and roadside café and to the modern industries that thrive in the town. Many of the town’s home-based businesses from the past and the present are included. The calendar also features an insert listing Town of Byron businesses from early days to the present.
The calendars make great holiday gifts and all proceeds benefit the Byron Historical Society's future educational projects.
